Jungle Tours Ecuador

Yarina Lodge

The Yarina Lodge is located in an area of forest that counts on the highest diversity of micro-habitats in the Napo area. It is only 60 minutes by motorized canoe from Coca. The Lodge consists out of 27 multiple huts with private bathroom and shower. They offer single, double, triple and quadruple accommodation. There is a cabin near to the Maduro River where guests can find the restaurant, the bar and a comfortable place to rest.

You can choose which day you would like to start your jungle tour and how many days you would like to stay. The program always begins after lunch on the first day.

Monday:
Breakfast. Canoeing to navigate on the Manduro River until reaching the Sapococha Lagoon. Walk around the lagoon enjoying the sounds of birds, frogs, monkeys, etc. Return to the lodge to have lunch. In the afternoon hike on the socali path, characterized for a variety of different jungle landscapes. Return to the lodge to have dinner.

Tuesday:
Breakfast. Visit the Capibara path, an adventurous trail with many swamps. Return to the lodge to have lunch. After lunch the guide will teach you how to use the blowpipe. Piranha fishing. Return to the lodge to have dinner.

Wednesday:
Breakfast. Canoe up river while watching birds, butterflies, orchids and amphibians until you reach the trail "Dos ramas". Short hike to learn about medicinal plants, birds and animals. Return to the lodge to have lunch. Hike the Tucan trail, which will take you to one of the tallest birdwatching towers of the Ecuadorian jungle. On the canopy you stay to watch some species of birds at high altitudes. Return to the lodge to have dinner.

Thursday:
Breakfast. Travel by motorised canoe to go out of the borders of the reserve and visit an indigenous family of the Quichuas del Oriente community. Return to the lodge to have lunch. Hike the "Guatusos trail with guide and return to the lodge to have dinner.

Friday:
Breakfast. Today you go deep inside in the jungle until you reach a small river surrounded by stones, sand, clay and other elements. Explanation about instruments used to pan for gold. Return to the lodge to have lunch. Visit the Socali path, characterized for a variety of different jungle landscapes. Return to the lodge to have dinner.

Saturday:
Breakfast. Visit the Capibara path, an adventurous trail with many swamps. Return to the lodge to have lunch. In the afternoon the Tucan trail, will take you to one of the tallest birdwatching towers of the Ecuadorian jungle. Return to the lodge to have dinner.

Sunday:

Included:
River transportation Coca – Yarina – Coca, accommodation in double, triple rooms, three meals daily, coffee, tea and purified water, excursions, guide and rain boots.

Not included:
Transportation Quito – Coca – Quito, extra food/drinks and tips.
